With just one laptop connected to our encoder measuring tool (DCMU box), you can easily test and debug encoder

signals The measurement data can be recorded or the encoder can be calibrated.


The DCMU measurement tool enables:
High resolution, with four channels of USB test internal units - Protocol communication via the encoder's I2C and Puv interfaces

under USB commissioning, allowing the internal signal parameters of the encoder to be set or storage of encoder test and

calibration data and display of real-time encoder operating conditions.

We supply encoder measurement equipment to many German spindle manufacturers to assist them in quality control, after

sales service, etc.


The test tool software is described:
VS's DCMU box measurement toolboxes are embedded with very useful operating software, which is based on suggestions

from our customers who use them in practice. The software is based on suggestions from our customers and has been

continually improved to make it easier for our customers to use the test box.

The software includes the following:

  • Internal memory unit for storing encoder test and calibration data and displaying real-time encoder operation data

    Driver software for the Microsoft Windows operating system

  • TRIM: The software package TRIM includes the software TRIM-P and TRIM-Tablet, TRIM Tablet is a simplified version

    of TRIM-P for lower version CPU.

  • PC or tablet with Windows processing system

  • Real-time online analysis of fast encoder signals (measuring speeds up to 100,000 rpm)

  • HD display with different colours to distinguish important encoder signal characteristics (analogue signals SIN/COS,

    green: normal; red: error)

  • Analysis of the encoder disc quality (for defects and eccentricity runout)

  • Recording of signal and disc parameter data and export to EXCEL in various optional formats

  • Online visualisation and digital recording of encoder data

  • Automatic adjustment of the 1 Vpp encoder signal (in conjunction with Procal software)

  • Monitoring: software for online monitoring of the analogue encoder signal

  • HD display of the important signal parameters of the analogue encoder signal SIN/COS

  • Online visualisation of the signal path of the analogue SIN/COS signal (via external trigger function): the encoder is

    connected to the controller and, if the controller detects a signal error, the corresponding signal path is monitored.

    If the controller detects a signal error, the corresponding output signal from the controller activates the monitoring

    program. Once the external trigger has been activated, the encoder's Once the external trigger has been activated,

    the signal path of the encoder is recorded at the set time slot before the trigger point and the recorded data can be

    analysed to determine the cause of the data error. The reason for this can be determined by analysing the recorded
