Marking identification of SKF precision bearings
Each super precision angular contact ball bearing has various markings on the side as follows:
1.SKF trademark
2.The complete model number of the bearing
3.Country of manufacture
4. Production date code
5. Average outer diameter deviation △Dm and the location of the maximum eccentricity point of the outer ring
6. Average inner diameter deviation △Dm and the position of the maximum eccentricity of the inner ring
7.Thrust surface marking, typing
8.Serial number (only for bearing group)
9.V-shaped marking (only for group bearing sets), sealed bearings can also be marked in a similar way.
V-marking.
The V-mark on the outer diameter of the outer ring of the assembled bearing set indicates how the bearing
should be mounted in order to obtain the proper preload for the bearing set.
The V mark is also used to indicate how the bearing set should be mounted relative to the axial load,
V should point to the direction of the axial load on the inner ring (the following figure). For both directions
of the axial load, V points to the direction of the larger load.
